Over the weekend, I read Enough: True Measures of Money, Business, and Life by Jack Bogle, founder of the Vanguard Group. A short but erudite read.
It’s partially an autobiography — Mr. Bogle remains a vigorous spokesman at the ripe old age of 87. It’s partially an indictment of the financial industry and excesses leading up to the Great Recession and even today. It’s also about embracing a healthy perspective on wealth and investing for the long term using tried and true approaches.
This book and Vanguard Mutual Funds will definitely be topics for future postings on Frugal, Wealthy and Wise. Stay tuned.
PS If you would like to read the book, see if it’s available at your local library. I’m certain that Mr. Bogle would applaud your thrift, even if it means he will not be getting a royalty from a book purchase.
PPS …however, if you would like to purchase the book, get the Kindle download or the Audible download, click here.
PPPS Part 2 of the LED Light Bulb article will be coming out later this week. Also, the opportunity to download a comprehensive spreadsheet for calculating LED bulb savings and rate of return.
Regards, Paul
